When did we give our power away?

I’m trying to understand when we actually gave our power away to the the world and made ourselves vulnerable to whatever wanted to judge us in lieu of itself.

Was it when we came out of our mothers wombs screaming in terror, was that the moment we knew we were no longer in control of our power , that we have to journey this path bound by our bodies and stifled by its weight. How were we going to outshine the fleshy layers that kept our divine glow masked . Ah, it would be love. That would be our sword, our shield, our breathe . How would we hold onto it , yield it, protect it and spread it? How would we use the resource of our essence to pilgrimage through this human life of our soul‘s journey.

All of us flailing on the docks of our life at some point or another trying to make it to the oceans of love. The abundance unrecognized at times yet scavenged for alway…

Our innocence tested through childhood and our soul‘s strength gauged. The one place we rely not only on ourselves but each other to flourish and remember our divinity. Childhood, the time we rely solely on the other souls in the trenches of flesh to care and guide us. Sometimes others tattered and flailing hoping we emerge out of their darkness whole.

My journey I recognize in this moment as a great test or self love. Self imposed Selflessness to carry the burdens of others has not helped and only created distance from my own light. As I come full circle I still wage a war of self for compassion in lieu of others inabilities to see the love I present and not hold it hostile. My defensive shield now of self love not scavenging recklessly to protect.

We cry when we emerge into the world because we fear the loss of divine memory as the world challenges our core. Our superpower love. Unchallenged.
